“…The effect of the guard subcarriers can (if necessary) be replaced by a frequency CP . A reduction in PAPR compared to Na and Choi is achieved that is much more significant than what is attained by Na and Choi compared to DFT‐s‐FBMC with no consideration for phase shifts, especially when a frequency CP is employed. However, this pruned DFT‐s‐FBMC method requires the overlapping factor of the prototype filter to be close to 1, which prevents its application in transceivers with long filters (crucial for better spectral localization) such as the PHYDYAS one with K=4 considered here.…”
