Abstract:The challenging physical environment associated with electromagnetic launchers (EMLs) makes reliable in situ measurements of physical parameters particularly difficult. The resulting lack of data hinders the validation of simulation codes that are used to support the design of new EMLs. As a result, there have been substantial efforts to develop new instrumentation that is compatible with the harsh environment of an EML. This paper will describe recent developments from Georgia Tech and U.S. Navy research to i… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
