Validation of the Key Active Ingredients and Anti-Inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Shenjin Huoxue Mixture Against Osteoarthritis by Integrating Network Pharmacology Approach and Thin-Layer Chromatography Analysis

Abstract: Background: Shenjin Huoxue Mixture (SHM), a classic traditional herb mixture has shown significant clinical efficacy against osteoarthritis (OA). Our previous experimental study has confirmed its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect on acute soft tissue injury in rats, with the compound of glycyrrhizinate in SHM identified and the content of paeoniflorin in SHM determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). However, the components and its pharmacological mechanisms of SHM against OA have not be… Show more

“…Then, parameters, such as the degree in the network, were calculated using its plugin NetworkAnalyzer. The higher the degree value of the node (candidate target/protein), the more important the role in the network (28). Thus, nodes with the highest degree value were identified as the key targets of PF secondary to COVID-19.…”

“…In terms of anti-inflammation, astragaloside IV significantly inhibited NF-κB-mediated activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and Nrf2 in vitro and in vivo [43]. Andr., has regulating autophagy [37], anti-inflammatory [44], analgesic [45], and antitumor [46] effect. Paeoniflorin could promote the binding of autophagosome and lysosome, significantly downregulate intracellular ROS level, and inhibit the oxidative damage in SH-SY5Y cells caused by H2O2 [47].…”

“…The main differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of 60 paired NSCLC patients were analyzed by comparing the primary NSCLC tumor with adjacent normal lung tissue specimens extracted from dataset GDS3837. The Cut-off values was p < 0.05 and the absolute value of the log2 fold change ≥ 1.5 [19].…”
