Fe 29-x Mo x Compounds (Ln: Y, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, and Dy). -The title compounds are characterized by powder XRD, magnetic measurements, and 57 Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy. The compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group A2/m (Nd3(Fe,Ti)29-type structure). Saturation magnetizations and the iron average magnetic moments are derived. Moessbauer spectra indicate that the transferred contribution to the hyperfine field at the Fe sites, due to rare earth moments, can be correlated with the rare earth effective spin. -(LAZAR*, D.
