Magnetical hollow fiber bar collection of extract in homogenous ionic liquid microextraction of triazine herbicides in water samples

Abstract: The homogeneous ionic liquid microextraction combined with magnetical hollow fiber bar collection was developed for extracting triazine herbicides from water samples. These analytes were separated and determined by high performance liquid chromatography. The triazines were quickly extracted into ionic liquid microdroplets dispersed in solution, and then these microdroplets were completely collected with magnetical hollow fiber bars; the pores of which were impregnated with hydrophobic ionic liquid, which makes… Show more

“…A recent review on this technique [15] extensively covered the extraction of organic compounds, but only some of them were pesticides. Likewise, in our review of the literature for the last 10 years, a total of 17 publications [61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77] were found in Web of Science in which SBME was applied to pesticide extraction, which is less than for HFME. These applications are presented in Table 3.…”

“…The second modification was the inclusion of a small piece of stainless-steel wire into the solvent bar, thereby creating a magnetic solvent bar [63,70,71]. The only real advantage of the proposed approach seems to be the ease of collection of the solvent bars from the sample after extraction.…”
