Magnitude of the doublet effect as a function of location in a verbal maze.

Abstract: and 1 control (no doublet) conditions. Each S learned a 16-unit, 8-choice verbal maze. The results demonstrate that the magnitude of the doublet effect increases and then decreases as the difficulty of the portion of the maze in which the doublet is located increases.
