Maintenance has a role in quality

Abstract: The broadest approach to quality is the total quality management (TQM) concept. This philosophy was introduced by Feigenbaum as early as 1951 by the name total quality control (TQC). The definition of quality given by Feigenbaum (1991) is:The total composite product and service characteristics of marketing, engineering, manufacture, and maintenance through which the product and service in use will meet the expectations of the customer.
