This study aims to examine the implementation of thesis control system (SISDALSKRIPSI) at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FE UNNES).The concept of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) is used to understand the factors that influence the students want to use SISDALSKRIPSI in FE UNNES. The research design is evaluative research. The population of the research is the students of the Department of Economic Education, FE UNNES who are preparing the thesis. Respondents in this study are also lecturers and supervisors at FE UNNES.The questionnaires and interviews were used to collect the data. Data analysis techniques used are multiple regression analysis and focus group discussion. The results showed that effort expectancy, performance expectancy, and social influence have positive and significant impact on intention to use SISDALSKRIPSI. Intension and facilitating condition also proved to have positive and significant effect on the actual use of SISDALSKRIPSI. Other results indicate that SISDALSKRIPSI still have to be improved. So it will be easier to use by lecturers and students.Increased on time graduation is a major concern of UNNES management by taking strategic policy. Explores the perceptions of faculty members towards Institutional Repository (named as Dyuthi) of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. It also discussed the content recruitment nature of faculty members in an institutional repository (IR). In order to carry out the study, a voluntary survey was conducted among faculty members. They showed high awareness and satisfaction about IR, and the highly significant relationship was observed between awareness and satisfaction. However, their self-archiving practice in Dyuthi was low, and they were not at all unfamiliar with the self-archiving practice outside Dyuthi. Faculty members tended to adopt a traditional preservation strategy to store their works, and they have supported the framing of a policy to deposit their scientific works in IR. This study concludes that to achieve the content growth, self-archiving must be encouraged, and faculty members are capable of self-archiving in IR. Dyuthi could elevate itself as a social medium by implementing the facilities such as commenting add-ons, request full-text copy add-ons, controlled vocabulary add-ons, the web of communication add-ons, restricted access, and storage facility similar to Google drive. Dyuthi’s workflow should also be altered by giving more importance to preservation.

This study aims to investigate the relationship of innovation characteristics and demographic factors on the effectiveness of information and communication technology (ICT) utilization in Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC). The specific objective of this study is to understand the relationship between innovation characteristics and demographic factors in influencing the level of innovation adoption and which factors are most dominant in influencing the effectiveness of ICT. Using purposive sampling, a total of 210 respondents was selected consisting of MPC headquarters and 5 MPC branches throughout Malaysia. Data and information were collected using questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using Pearson correlation statistical analysis, t-test and ANOVA. The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between innovation characteristics such as relative advantages, compatibility, complexity, observability and triability with the effectiveness of ICT in MPC. Observability has been identified as the major factor with the effectiveness of ICT in MPC with variants of 49%. The results of the analysis also proved that there is no significant difference between demographic factors with the effectiveness of ICT. The result also showed that age and level of academic is not a factor affecting the use of ICT in MPC. This has been proven by the findings of this study that the majority of respondents used ICT between 5 to 7 hours a day and 131 respondents has over 9 years of experience using computer at MPC. This finding suggests that innovation characteristics influenced the acceptance of innovation and will be the determinants of quality in an organization.
