Maligne Neoplasien des Verdauungstrakts - neue Aspekte zum endosonografischen Staging

Abstract: On January 1st, 2010 the 7th edition of TNM classification was released. There are several consequences of this new classification for the staging of gastrointestinal malignancies by endoscopic ultrasound. This review discusses important changes in the TNM classification as well as new aspects in endosonographic staging investigations of cancers of the esophagus, stomach, and rectum.
