The Development of Waqf Management Throught Waqf Act in Indonesia (Note on Republic of Indonesia Act Number 41 of 2004 regarding Waqf). Waqf is an Islamic endowment of property to be held in trust and used for a charitable or religious purpose. The development of waqf law in Indonesia, as one of religious institutions, is the realization of Muslim community needs to fulfill their religious life. The object of waqf that formerly was focused on immovable objects, with the presence of the Act has been broader to movable property, especially money waqf. This paper describes the urgency of civilization and the dynamics of waqf both from the side of law and its management in the context of people prosperity. By using library research that use qualitative data, this paper found the existence of waqf, normatively lies not only in the individual obligations, but also in social meaning in the context of collective obligations involving mawqûf bih (the property), wâqif (the person creating a waqf), nazir (the supervisor/manager of waqf), mauqûf ‘alayh (waqf users), and the government through legislation. Basically, the Republic of Indonesia Act Number 41 of 2004 regarding Waqf is based on the philosophical, sociohistorical, and juridical foundation.

Purpose of the study: This study intended to analysis the implementation and development of productive waqf in Malang, Indonesia. In addition, it addressed to understand the operational management of productive waqf Islamic hospital in Malang. Methodology: The research applied a qualitative method in order to comprehensively understand the existing phenomenon. The qualitative data analysis model used in this research followed the process of data reduction, display data, and verification by Miles & Huberman (1984). Purposively, the sample of the research was in an Islamic hospital in Malang considering various relevant reasons. The data were collected through focus group discussion between stakeholders including waqf recipient (Mauquf’Alaih), waqf management (Nazhir) and researches. Main Findings: The findings showed that the implementation of productive waqf has shown favorable outcomes in attaining local community’s needs that lead to the economic welfare of communities. The management model of productive a waqf is divided into a certain considered portion for business development, Mauquf’Alaih, and Nazhir. Applications of this study: In its development, productive waqf management should consider potential factors such as human resources and community awareness. Novelty/Originality of this study: The research provides insight into the nature of the productive waqf model as an attempt to enhance economic welfare.

In almost every Islamic country, the number of waqf properties is increasing at an exponential rate. As a result, managing such abundant amount of waqf properties can be very tedious and challenging. In Malaysia, waqf properties is managed by respective State Islamic Religious Council and are still using traditional method of recording all waqf asset. As a result, the My-Wakaf prototype mobile application was created to aid with the workload of managing waqf assets or properties. The methodology used for the project is the Waterfall model that is based on the original System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) that have 5 phases which are Planning, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation phase. My-Wakaf application is developed using Android Studio and it is integrated with Firebase Cloud database to help store waqf assets information securely to be accessed anywhere, reducing the human errors and cost of managing such properties. According to a user acceptability test conducted on numerous responders, the majority of them were highly happy with the My-Wakaf application's general functionality. Finally, it is intended that My-Wakaf would help the Muslim community as a whole by increasing awareness of waqf knowledge and stimulating economic growth.
