All kinds of plants that are found in nature and have medicinal properties are considered medicinal plants. Utilization of medicinal plants can be used directly and mixed. Battra is a person who has knowledge of traditional medicine and is capable of concocting medicinal plants. North Bengkulu is one of the districts that still use conventional medical care. Utilizing medicinal plants that are proven to be able to treat those derived from natural ingredients can be healthful because of very few side effects compared to drugs that contain chemicals. The goal of the study was to catalog the various medicinal herbs used by Battra North Bengkulu. This study used 10 respondents' interviews as its approach. Battra uses 64 species from 37 families of medicinal plants as traditional medicinal ingredients. The most common type of family is Fabaceae. The habitus group that is widely used is 45% trees. Types of diseases that are commonly treated traditionally using these plants include fever, toothache, itching, cramps, internal heat, scales, stomach pain, malaria, long-term fever, colds (cholera), ulcers, lungs, kidney stones, jaundice, high blood pressure, appendicitis, fussy children, eye disease, intestinal worms, kesapo, sprains, tumors and gout. In the processing of medicinal plants by Battra in North Bengkulu, 11 processes the highest drug processing method was by boiling as much as 37%.

Diversity of the medicinal plant in homegarden of local communities in the coastal area of Prigi Bay, Trenggalek, East Java, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 23: 6302-6312. Homegarden is a part of the agroforestry system that is essential in a food security program. It also reflects the social and traditional practices in certain areas that define the composition of plants. One common plant that grows in a homegarden area is herbal medicine. The knowledge about medicinal plants in society is essential to ensure the sustainability of this local wisdom to be passed through the subsequent generations. This research aimed to examine the diversity of medicinal plants planted in homegarden in Tasikmadu, Prigi, and Karanggandu Villages, Watulimo Sub-district, East Java, Indonesia. The research used a field survey of plant inventory and a semi-structured interview to gather ethnobotanical information. A total of 60 respondents were obtained by purposive sampling, with residents with homegardens preferred to be interviewed. The discussion results showed that 32 families of 59 medicinal plant species found in the study areas are consumed for medicinal purposes. Zingiberaceae is referred to as the highest family consumed by the respondents. Leaves and rhizomes are the most commonly utilized part, while decoction is the most popular preparation method. This study revealed that people aged 46-55 have the highest knowledge of medicinal plants. At the same time, women are considered to know more about herbal medicine compared to men.

Studi in silico menawarkan dunia yang menarik di mana peneliti menggunakan kekuatan komputasi untuk menjelajahi berbagai fenomena ilmiah. In silico memungkinkan peneliti untuk secara virtual menguji ribuan senyawa potensial termasuk bahan alam dalam interaksi dengan target biologis. Hal ini dapat mempercepat waktu proses penemuan obat dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada uji coba laboratorium yang mahal. Dadap serep (Erythrina subumbrans) adalah tanaman golongan keluarga Papilonaceae yang secara uji fitokimia dilaporkan memiliki kandungan flavonoid yang diduga memiliki efek antipiretik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan senyawa yang paling berpotensi sebagai antipiretik diantara delapan senyawa golongan flavonoid dari ranting dan akar Dadap Serep (Erythrina subumbrans). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode molecular docking. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap delapan senyawa golongan flavonoid dari ranting dan akar Dadap Serep (Erythrina subumbrans) yaitu pinocembrin; 3,6,4’-trihydroxyflavone; 3,6- dihydroxyflavone; lupalbigenin; erysubin F; genistein; 5-hydroxysophoranone dan abyssinone V, serta kontrol positif paracetamol terhadap protein target dengan kode PDB: 1CX2. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan skor total energi ikatan dan ikatan hidrogen pada residu asam amino yang muncul. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa tiga senyawa yang paling berpotensi sebagai antipiretik adalah lupalbigenin, erysubin F, dan abyssinone V dengan skor total energi ikatan berturut-turut -126,3 kkal/mol; -113,1 kkal/mol dan -111,8 kkal/mol.
