“…Among them, bis(4-pyridyl) ligands, such as the conventionally employed 4,4 0 -bipyridine (bipy), 4,4 0 -bis(4-pyridyl)ethene (bpee), have been extensively studied [1][2][3][4]21,22]. According to the heterolinker approach, we have constructed a series of newly MOFs with dimensionalities from 1D to 3D based on the mixed multicarboxylate ligands and bis(4-pyridyl) auxiliary ligands, and systematically studied the effects of different rigidity or shape of the bis(4-pyridyl) ligands on the final frameworks formed [23][24][25]. In this paper, we reported the hydrothermal syntheses, crystal structures, topological analysis and magnetic properties of three Ni II coordination polymers constructed from the nitro-functionalized dicarboxylate ligand 2,2 0 -dinitro-biphenyl-4,4 0 -dicarboxylate (H 2 dnpdc), with bipy/bpee as auxiliary ligands, {Ni(dnpdc)(bipy)} n (1), {[Ni 3 (dnpdc) 3 (bipy) 3 …”

“…The introduction of a free amine group demonstrated its ability to undergo intramolecular hydrogen bonding with bound anionic species due to which these are unapproachable to guest molecules. Apart from the aforesaid rhombic grid based 2D MOFs, several other examples are also reported. ,,, …”

“…Antiferromagnets frequently exhibit such spin canting, where the spin carriers are linked by monoatomic bridges . Further, the most frequently encountered magnetic properties in 2D MOFs is the antiferromagnetic ordering, and this is dominated in the Cu(II) containing 2D MOFs. ,, Several Mn(II) and Co(II), , , ,− and a few Fe(II) and Ni(II) 2D MOFs with mostly containing (4,4) grid structures have also exhibit this antiferromagnetic ordering. , , …”
