Mapowanie węzłów wartowniczych w raku brodawkowatym tarczycy z zastosowaniem radioznacznika i niebieskiego barwnika

Abstract: Introduction: In the current study, we evaluated the accuracy of sentinel node mapping in thyroid cancer patients using both radiotracer and blue dye. Material and methods: 30 patients with a diagnosis of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) were included in the study; 2-3 hours before surgery, 0.5 mCi 99m-Tc-Antimony Sulfide Colloid was injected intra-tumourally. 15 minutes post-injection, lymphoscintigraphy images of the neck were obtained. Immediately after anaesthesia induction, 0.5 mL patent blue V was also … Show more

“…Therefore, SLNB mapping exhibits the highest accuracy in patients with MIBC at lower local advancement stages. This finding is in accordance with similar studies in other malignancies [118,119]. More recent studies have assessed SLN techniques in various clinical settings and concluded that they are feasible and safe in BCa, although their efficacy remains questionable [120][121][122].…”

“…The SLN was identified in all cases, and the authors concluded that these techniques have a complementary role ( 74 ). Subsequently, other authors have evaluated this combination technique, for example, Lee et al ( 78 ), Huang et al ( 79 ), Assadi et al ( 80 ), and Gelmini et al ( 81 ).…”

“…The concept of SLN is currently established in melanoma, vulvar and breast cancer patients, and it is being assessed in other types of solid tumours including differentiated thyroid carcinoma [14e16]. In thyroid cancer, SLN biopsy (SLNB) has been addressed using blue dyes [17,18], radioisotopes [4,19e22] or the combination of both [23]. The pooled detection rate of vital dyes is 15% lower than the rate for radioguided SLNB [24].…”
