This research discusses childfree choices in the context of maqasid sharia, highlighting the interaction between religious values and social changes that influence reproductive decisions in the modern era. By referring to the principles of maqasid sharia which focus on protecting the soul, mind and offspring, this research analyzes the challenges and opportunities faced by individuals or couples who choose not to have children. Results show that although childfree couples face social stigma and pressure from traditional norms, they also have opportunities to develop themselves, build strong social relationships, and contribute positively to society. In addition, an inclusive approach and open dialogue are essential to understand and appreciate various reproductive options within the framework of Islamic values. This research emphasizes the need for comprehensive education and community support to create a harmonious environment, where all individuals can carry out their social and spiritual responsibilities well.
