Currently, there are substantial theoretical and practical groundwork in the field of economic and mathematical modelling of coal industry enter prises. however, in modern conditions, the potential effect of using most models is low. the article outlines a methodology for classifying production situations, purposeful search for conditions for compensating deviations according to specified parameters, and evaluation of quality of decisions made in operational management at enterprises of the coal industry as a whole. this study provides an opportunity to significantly improve the efficiency of management of socio-economic activity in the region, focus ing on the possible consequences of the decisions made, as well as to as sess the parameters that characterize the entry of systems into a changing socio-economic environment, getting used to new conditions. the authors believe that this study makes it possible to largely unify the development of intelligent modelling systems. Considerable attention is paid to the issue of developing algorithms for operational management of technological processes in coal mining companies. the authors have proposed a scheme of targeted search for compensation of deviations for the selection of a management decision.
