The halal tourism concept is a contemporary tourism development concept that is currently implemented around the world. Halal tourism does not only relate to producing halal products, but also every other aspect of Islamic beliefs, including developing domains that support Islamic activities. This article aims to explore designs for tourist attractions based on the halal tourism concept. The research will take place in Mekarmanik Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency. The location experiences three major issues, which are farmers’ mindset who prefers selling straight to wholesalers for low prices compared to further processing products for higher prices; forest land and coffee vegetation utilization for educational objects; and integration of potential colonial sites to increase local community livelihood. Therefore, the design will aim to include means that could help increase the local community’s knowledge through site planning and 3D designs of a product processing room, product marketing storefront, coffee forest educational hiking trail, and dan colonial coffee garden educational room. Required data will be gathered from literature studies, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs). Afterward, collected data will be analyzed using design elements needs analysis and functional relations analysis. There is no doubt that the advent of Islam in the Archipelago Region, particularly in the Sunda World, has transformed the weltanschauung of the local community, shifting from a polytheistic paradigm to the monotheistic paradigm (tawhid). This has fostered a synergy between the outcomes of Divine revelation and Sundanese wisdom, giving rise to local wisdom in Malay-Islamic society. Moreover, the role of intellectuals in bridging the perspectives of ”sky idealism” with ”earth/cultural reality” is crucial in shaping dynamic, relevant, and applicable teachings of local wisdom embraced by the Sundanese people. This reciprocal process is evident in the collection of Sundanese local wisdom in Alam Parahyangan, whether in written form or through actions and practices. The objective of this study is to highlight several points. Firstly, it aims to demonstrate that the awareness of living in harmony with nature is manifested in the local wisdom of indigenous peoples through their views and concepts. Secondly, it seeks to emphasize the unique construction and formulation of Sundanese local wisdom, which results from the synthesis of Islamic values and Sundanese thought. Lastly, the study proposes the re-examination of Sundanese manuscripts, which serve as repositories of local Sundanese-Islamic wisdom. These manuscripts exhibit various forms of thoughts, including rhymes, dangding (a form of Sundanese poetry), advice, and others. Tourism plays a crucial role in community development and economic growth, contributing to income distribution, employment opportunities, and investment across various sectors. One form of tourism is village tourism, which serves as an alternative tourism option. However, Rawabogo Village, as a tourist village, has been unable to generate significant results and benefits for the environment and society. It requires a systematic effort to establish a tourism village ecosystem that can drive its development. The objective of this study is to construct a tourism village ecosystem for the development of Rawabogo Tourism Village. This involves examining the components of the tourism village ecosystem to determine the direction for its development, ensuring both economic and non-economic outcomes and benefits. The findings reveal that the current tourism village ecosystem in Rawabogo Village does not support its development adequately due to low community participation and a lack of tourism infrastructure. To address this, the first step is to implement community-based tourism development. This approach aims to encourage active community participation and engagement in managing and advancing Rawabogo Tourism Village. Additionally, future planning should prioritize the provision of necessary infrastructure and tourism facilities to support its growth and success.
