Mobile P2P media streaming is a very interesting research topic. We design a real P2P system based mobile simulation measurement platform. Based on the captured traces of PPStream, four aspects are reported: protocol blackouts, unavailable data (UD), performance of data fetching and sharing, and neighbor stability. A simple model is presented to analyze the UD in handover. According to the model, UD is only controlled by RTT and media playback rate. In addition, we find UDP shows a better performance than TCP, while many problems about P2P transport layer are deserved deep studies; mobile client can keep normal downloading performance, while its upload capability decreases 40%; its neighbor stability doesn't change obviously except for shorter ingress sessions' life.
