“…Figure 7b compares the α p values of water and the buffer solution with those of four representative C 16 OH/W and C 16 OH + C 20 OH/W emulsions. As can be observed, the isobaric thermal expansivity increases with the content of dispersed fatty alcohol, which agrees with the fact that cetyl alcohol has a higher expansivity (α p = 7-8•10 −4 K −1 at 343 K [81,91]) than water.…”

“…Slight differences (lower than 3%, within experimental uncertainty) were observed between the viscosities of the water and the phosphate buffer solution used as a continuous phase. A viscosity value of 8.19 mPa•s was measured for cetyl alcohol at 333.15 K, which agreed with data of 7.91 mPa•s reported by Fu et al [81]. Like the phosphate buffer solution and bulk cetyl alcohol, nanoemulsions containing 2-6 wt.% loadings of the dispersed phase are mainly Newtonian within the investigated shear rate.…”

“…The vacuum measurement was used to obtain the internal damping, while the wire radius and the density of the sinker were experimentally determined in toluene at T ref = 298.15 K and p ref = 0.1 MPa. The full calibration procedure and the final values of the parameters were presented in our previous work together with the uncertainty analysis . The relative combined expanded uncertainties of measurement with a confidence level of 0.95 ( k = 2) were estimated to be 0.26% for density and 2.1% for viscosity.…”

“…Some high-temperature and high-pressure (HTHP) viscosity measurement methods have been validated, such as vibrating-wire, , rolling ball, dynamic light scattering, and capillary method. , By comparing these methods, the capillary method is found to be used most frequently. Viscosity measurements in HTHP conditions are considerably difficult and few data points are available.…”
