The numerical model of thermal processes proceeding in 3D micro‐domains subjected to the laser pulse is discussed. The temperature distribution is described by the dual‐phase lag equation supplemented by appropriate boundary and initial conditions. The laser heating is taken into account as the internal heat source in the dual‐phase lag equation. The problem is solved using the explicit scheme of the finite difference method. On account of the high laser power the solid‐liquid and liquid‐vapor transformations are modeled and the basic finite difference method is supplemented by the numerical procedures simulating the phase changes. The results of computations are also presented.
