A full factorial experiment was conducted to analyze the main and interaction effects on the physical and mechanical properties of Cupressus funebris Endl. wood subjected to vacuum heat modification. The response variables evaluated were mass loss rate (ML, %), moisture resistance (MR, %), and modulus of rupture in bending (MOR, MPa). The results reveal significant variations in the effects of modification time, holding temperature, and vacuum pressure as independent factors, along with varying degrees of interaction effects among them. Simplifying the analysis model, a regression equation was derived to describe the relationship between the response variable (mass loss rate) and the factors: The model achieved an R-squared value of 96.0% and an R-squared (predicted) value of 73.7%, indicating good overall predictive performance. Optimal process parameters for mid-temperature vacuum heat modification of cypress were determined based on the mass loss rate and modulus of rupture (MOR), resulting in a modification temperature of 120 °C, holding time of 5 h, and a pressure intensity of 0.1. The reliability of the full factorial experiment was further confirmed through orthogonal testing.

In order to explore the behavior of cross-shaped steel reinforced concrete (SRC) columns after fire, the heat transfer analysis model and structural analysis model were established by ABAQUS software. The simulation results of the cross-shaped column were compared with the existing test results, in the aspect of the temperature distribution, time-temperature curve, failure mode, and load-displacement relationship after fire exposure. The results show that the simulation results agree well with the experimental results. The influence of critical parameters on residual bearing capacity coefficient k was discussed, which including constant heating duration, maximum heating temperature, concrete strength, yield strength of section steel, yield strength of rebars, limb thickness, effective column length, rebar diameter, and steel content. Finally, a simplified formula was proposed to calculate the residual bearing capacity of cross-shaped SRC columns after fire.

Spiral hoops can effectively enhance the load-bearing capacity of recycled aggregate concrete columns, and the mechanical performance of such a member after experiencing fire and a fire sprinkler is very important for its application and promotion. Aiming at this problem, the mechanical behavior of spiral reinforcement recycled aggregate concrete round columns under axial compression after spraying water at high temperatures cooling was investigated. Three parameters including recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio, temperature, and pitch of screw stirrups were taken into consideration. 26 specimens were designed for static loading test. The failure modes of regenerated concrete columns with spiral reinforcement were observed after cooling by high-temperature water spraying. The mechanical properties of specimens under different cooling modes after high temperatures were obtained and analyzed. The results indicate that the effect of the recycled aggregate replacement ratio on the performance of the specimens was mainly in terms of peak displacement. And the reduction in the spiral stirrup spacing increases the peak load and ductility coefficient of the specimens. The high temperature above 600°C has a obvious effect on the mechanical properties of the specimens. Water spray cooling can reduce the appearance of small cracks on the surface of the specimens and their peak displacement. The calculation method of bearing capacity of regenerated spiral reinforced concrete columns cooled by high-temperature water spraying was discussed.
