Abstract:The main goal of this paper is to discuss the possible contributions of training practices in the context of a course entitled Discursive/Textual Genres and Social Practices -from the area of concentration Languages and Literacies, taught in the Professional Master's Program in Language and Literature/PROFLETRAS, a context in which the concept of development is defined as a process resulting from the interaction of conflicts between the trainee's available internal resources and the new ones enabled by the cultural environment. Through this perspective, the professional gesture is inscribed into a dynamic based on macro preoccupations that were demonstrated in a multifocal analysis of the different aspects through which trainer and trainee promote the traditional rupture between the domains of theory and practice, demonstrating the conflicting relationship between what is prescribed, planned, actually executed and hindered by different factors. In the various stages of the work, professional gestures that showed the nuances of a classic/traditional approach in the construction of the teaching object were apprehended, as well as, in response to social appeals for the innovation of practices, gestures that represent an attempt to develop discursive practices as objects of knowledge in the classroom.
