La presente investigación analiza el control de inventarios y la gestión rentable en mypes comerciales de calzados. El objetivo fue identificar la relación entre control de inventarios y la gestión rentable en las mypes comerciales de calzados de Chimbote, Ancash, 2023. La investigación tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental-transversal y correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por todos los colaboradores del área administrativa, contable y logística de estas empresas. Para la muestra, se seleccionaron 40 colaboradores de las áreas citadas; se aplicó un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue un cuestionario, el cual fue validado por un juicio de expertos y pasó por una prueba de confiabilidad. Los resultados mostraron que el nivel del control de inventarios fue poco eficiente, mientras que el nivel de gestión rentable fue eficiente, según los datos analizados. En el análisis inferencial, se reflejó una sig. bilateral de 0.000 menor a 0.005 y los valores de coeficiente de correlación obtenidos fueron de 0.750, 0.720, 0.680 y 0.700, lo que indicó que las variables tienen una relación positiva alta. Se concluyó que el control de inventarios sí se relaciona de forma significativa con la gestión rentable de mypes comerciales de calzado; esto responde a que en la práctica el control es esencial para asegurar que la gestión operativa empresarial sea efectuada idóneamente, generando un aumento de rentabilidad.

Purpose Green practices are essential for sustainability. However, it is challenging due to the socioeconomic and environmental concerns. Similarly, after the induced SDG-12 and SDG-13 by United Nations, the pressure groups forced manufacturers to consider sustainability. Therefore, this research aims to examine the sustainability through multifaceted green functions in manufacturing is examined. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 293 supply chain professionals of manufacturers from a developing economy. Hypotheses were tested through a quantitative method using partial least squares-structural equation modeling with the help of SmartPLS version 4 to validate the measurement model. Findings The findings revealed that all six direct hypotheses were supported. However, out of four hypotheses of mediation, one was not supported. Besides, a sequential mediation of green supply chain environmental cooperation and green human resource management was supported. The findings illustrated that green supply chain practices positively influence all used variables. Research limitations/implications This research provides practical insight to practitioners to implement green practices in their supply chain networks for social, economic and environmental sustainability and compliance with SDG-12 and SDG-13. The sustainability was validated in a higher-order construct (HOC) (formative), including sequential mediation in the model with the support of resource dependency theory. Therefore, this study adds substantial literature to the existing body of knowledge. Originality/value This research provides an interdisciplinary framework by adding knowledge to the Resource Dependency Theory to address Sustainable Development Goals-12 (SDGs) and SDG-13. Likewise, this research provides an extension towards the body of knowledge on the issue, which can be used in future research and critical examinations for cleaner and sustainable production. So far, in Pakistan, no research has looked at the function of these integrated variables in the manufacturing industry with a diligent focus on sustainability as it was validated in a higher-order construct (formative) with one sequential mediation, which makes this research unique.

Inventory control is at the core of supply management to balance inventory needs and demand. With an inventory system, management can control stock of materials and goods, production process and sales transactions can even stop the production process if necessary. Sari Gamping building materials store that sells various building needs including building materials and tools. Data management of goods, transactions and inventory processing still uses conventional methods using Microsoft Office. The purpose of this research is to analyze the ongoing inventory management process to create an inventory management information system so that it can help the Sari Gamping store in controlling inventory. The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and reorder point methods were chosen to optimize inventory to avoid shortages or excess inventories, to fulfill customer orders, to achieve cost efficiency and to prevent problems that may occur. The developed system can manage data on goods, categories, suppliers, manage purchase and sales transactions and can generate information from EOQ calculations, safety stock and reorder points. From the results of testing the calculations of the two methods used with 15 samples of catylac paint variants, the average inventory cost saving in June 2023 was 65.33%.
