Mesopredator-mediated trophic cascade can break persistent phytoplankton blooms in coastal waters

Abstract: Managing eutrophied systems only bottom-up (nutrient decreases) can be economically and ecologically challenging. Top-down controls (consumption) were sometimes found to effectively control phytoplankton blooms.
