Mesure de la production laitière de brebis Hamra durant les phases d'allaitement et de traite

Abstract: During the suckling period, the milk yield was estimated at 70 kg and 55-57 kg for the twin and singlesuckling ewes respectively. However, during the milking period, the milk yield was the same for the differents groups (A: 53 kg and B: 54 kg). There is a positive correlation between the milk suckled and the growth of lambs for all the suckling period (42 d). This correlation is stronger during the first 28 d of suckling ( A, r = 0.83 and B, r = 0.74). The feed efficiency is 5.8 and 7.0-7.3 for twin and single… Show more

“…This difference compared to prolific breeds may be related to the driving conditions of the animals, the average age and weight of the sample studied, and the duration of milk recording in each study. However, among local Algerian breeds, the total milk production obtained was slightly higher compared to the average estimated in Rembi ewes (55.3 kg) at 112 days of lactation, according to Benchohra et al (2014a) [17] and the total obtained by Benyoucef and Ayachi (1991) [18] of 56 kg in Hamra ewes during 42 days of lactation by the hormonal method (oxytocin). Likewise, the milk production of the 1 st month estimated in this study (26.5 kg) was very low compared to the value given by Belkheir et al (2021) [19] in the Tazegzawt breed (31.6 kg) but higher than the average estimated by Benchohra et al (2014b) [20] in the Rembi breed, with milk production of 21.5 kg after 28 days of lactation.…”

“…In Algeria, the production of sheep milk for human consumption depends mainly on rain fall during the year and therefore the condition of natural pastures (Benyoucef and Ayachi, 1991).…”
