Metallorganic chemical vapor deposition and characterization of TiO2 nanoparticles

Abstract: TiO 2 nanoparticles were synthesized using metallorganic chemical vapor deposition process. Particles with and without metal ion dopants were obtained. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy measurements confirmed the stoichiometry of the TiO 2 nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction patterns showed a polycrystalline anatase structure of TiO 2 . Transmission electron microscopy revealed that these particles are of nanoscale dimensions. Exact particle size and size distribution analy… Show more

“…Not all dopants work efficiently for all reactions. For example, Fe+ 3 works well for the catalysis of CHC13 [4] but not for 2-chlorophenol [5]. This study describes the preparative methodology used in making TiO 2 nanostructured thin films on quartz substrates via sol-gel method.…”

“…Since it is well established that confinement into CNT is able to stabilize low lifetime species, [15][16][17][18][19][20] it will be interesting to survey the behavior of the studied species inside carbon nanotubes. We introduced the five structures already studied in the nanotube (12,0) which diameter D is equal to 9.401 Å.…”

“…14 Added to several other applications that concern sensors, and memory devices. [15][16][17][18] For all these reasons, the isolated TiO 2 molecule's study has attracted scientists' attention. Unfortunately, it is known that the molecular specie is not easily isolated.…”

“…For anatase titanium dioxide nanostructures, miscellaneous methods such as electro-spinning, sol-gel method or chemical vapor condensation, have been developed and applied [9][10][11][12]. TiO 2 nanotube template based sol-gel method has been developed successfully [13].…”
