“…Our observation is supported by a recent autopsy case of metastatic MAC in the liver and bones in a 73-year-old woman who had a 20-year follow-up for an uncontrollable MAC of the face. There was no direct connection between primary tumor and metastasis confirming the hematogenous route [29]. Those observations of distant metastasis and the former observations of regional lymph node metastasis in MAC confirm its ability to give rise to metastasis, sometimes after a long disease-free period.…”

“…MAC may have a highly aggressive local course with the ability of direct bone invasion [21], PNI [10, 13, 21, 28, 29] and/or intraneural extension [28, 29]. However, some cases of regional lymph node metastasis have been reported.…”

“…There have been only a few cases of metastasis. [82][83][84] The lesion originates in the dermis and is poorly circumscribed. Basaloid keratinocytes and ducts are 2 primary components.…”

“…Regional and distant metastasis have been described in the literature; however, such cases are particularly rare, with only five cases of local recurrence and three cases of distant metastasis reported (25,26). According to the relevant literature, only one mortality has occurred as a result of the disease (27).…”
