The special education teacher is a key element in the development of the process of inclusive education. In this setting, soft skills have proven to be determinant in teachers’ educational action. However, those that best qualify their profile have not yet been identified. Therefore, this study aims to carry out a review of scientific production between the years 2010 and 2020. To this end, articles were selected using the following databases: ERIC, Scopus, Web of Science, and PsycINFO. Studies have been included in the review that point out as soft skills: resilience, reflexibility, empathy, collaborative work, self-efficacy, creativity, and effective communication. Only studies that presented such criteria were included in the analysis. After the application of the eligibility criteria, seven articles were considered. From the analysis, it emerges that effective communication, collaborative work, and reflexibility stand out. There are gaps in this area in the specialized training of these teachers. Thus, it is suggested that there should be investment in this area in the training programs of the schools that certify them; and that, at the research level, instruments should be developed to evaluate the model emerging from this review.

The article contains theoretical grounds and experimental verification of using academic role-playing games at classes of Foreign Language in order to form soft skills of students, majoring in non-philological subjects. The purpose of the article is to analyze the effectiveness of using this form of work at university classes for the formation of soft skills of students and to monitor the correlation between these skills. The methodological basis of the study was the communicative and competence-based approaches in teaching foreign languages. Research methods include questioning, observation, expert assessment and testing. The obtained data were subjected to statistical analysis using Kolmogorov-Smirnov’s test, Pearson’s χ² test and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Academic role-playing games have shown their effectiveness as a means of forming soft skills of students, majoring in non-philological subjects, in case of following such fundamental principles as: using the language as an integral system but not as a set of grammatical and lexical phenomena; using language as a means of communication, and, consequently, a teacher`s making educational materials and tasks, focused on the content of communication, but not on the formal characteristics; creating practice-oriented situations in the classroom that train social skills, but not just subject knowledge and skills. The article presents a description of training materials, tasks, methods and forms of work for the formation of students’ soft skills.

The impact of COVID‐19 on global human resource (HR) management has been swift, dramatic and has fundamentally changed HR processes. The prompt online migration of business has altered the skills required by employees to succeed in the workplace of the future. This research examines the hard and soft skill gaps that exist in the digital marketing and advertising industry. Through the use of two data collection points in 2019 and 2020, the research identified a renewed importance being placed on soft skills in the wake of the COVID‐19 pandemic. Soft skills and the development thereof have become a key focal area of training for new employees as a result of remote working. The identified hard skill gaps are indicative of the future growth areas of the industry, focusing on data analytics, marketing automation and user experience. Future research should consider an expansion to other industry‐specific skills and contrast country‐level skill gaps.
