“…The basic mechanism of skin-targeted cargo delivery with dissolving microneedles relies on mechanical and painless penetration of the outermost skin layers to generate transient microchannels and subsequent dissolution of microneedles with embedded biocargos in the targeted cutaneous microenvironment.
