“…The lattice parameter calculated from XRD pattern is a = 0.3289 ± 0.0001 nm. This value is consistent with the single BCC β phase Ti42Nb alloy parameter [33,35,36]. The peaks of the α martensitic phase, which are possibly developed during the rapid cooling, are not observed in the XRD spectrum.…”

“…Alloy with 16 wt% Nb is a stable β alloy as it contains a single β phase, Nb wt% less than 16 in this system is a metastable alloy as 14 wt% Nb alloy composed of β, α′′, and ω phases. The addition of 2 wt% Fe to Ti–Nb strongly enhances β phase stability because, in the case of Ti–Nb binary alloys, the β phase becomes stable after 32.5 wt% Nb, as reported by Thoemmes et al 157 Due to the precipitation of the ω phase, 14 wt% Nb alloy exhibited high strength. Elastic modulus and strength decreased as the Nb content increased because of high β phase stability.…”

“…The lower Nb content leads to β to α ′ phase transformation, moderate Nb content leads to β to α ′′ phase transformation, and at higher Nb content, a complete β phase or β + ω phase mixture is formed. 157 Han et al investigated the effect of Nb composition of 5 to 20 wt% in Ti-Nb binary system and heat-treated in α + β field. All alloys have α and β phases.…”

“…Figure 1 the typical microstructure of the as-cast alloy following etching. The microstructure can be characterized by coarse NiAl matrix grains almost surrounded by the luminous white Mo phases, and the left ones are inlaid within the cell or at the middle of the unit cell composed of tiny particles because of the coherent relationship, which was mentioned in previous work [26]. Each phase's volume fraction in the eutectic fulfils the given Eq.…”

“…1a, the rod-shaped Mo phases expand radially perpendicular to the NiAl cell boundaries. According to anterior studies [26,27], it seemed that mechanical rearrangement proceeded at the cell boundary. The core of the unit cell generated spherical Mo phases throughout the preparation procedure, which was reported earlier.…”
