Microstructure, Physical Properties, and Magnetic Flux Density Analysis of Permanent Magnet BaFe12O19using Milling and Sintering Preparation Methods

Abstract: Abstract. The purpose of this experiment is to analyze the influence of sintering temperature to the microstructure, physical, and magnetic properties of BaFe 12 O 19 materials. The permanent magnet BaFe 12 O 19 was made by using milling and sintering method, BaFe 12 O 19 commercial powder was used as the raw material in this experiment. The raw material was pulverized by using ball mill for 15 hours and compacted at 400 MPa pressure to obtain a 16mm diameter and 4mm thick pellet. The pellet was sintered with … Show more

“…2, where the value of flux magnetic also depends on the ratio composition of Ba ferrite to NdFeB. Samples with the higher fraction content of NdFeB have higher flux magnetic value, because NdFeB magnet has the highest value of magnetic strength compare to Ba-ferrite (BaF), where flux magnetic value of BaF is about 500 -600 Gauss [13]. The highest value of flux magnetic of hybrid bonded magnet Ba-ferrite / NdFeB is achieved about 850 Gauss at the sample with ratio composition of 50 % Ba-ferrite / 50 % NdFeB.…”
