Microviolence between men and women froma private university in Trujillo

Abstract

The objective of the study was to identify the differences in microviolence between men and women from a private university in Trujillo. The type of research according to its purpose was applied, quantitative, not experimental, with a descriptive -comparative character. On the other hand, we used the instrument "Microviolence Scale Questionnaire", which consists of 25 items taking into account the 4 dimensions of microviolence: coercive, covert, utilitarian and crisis. Likewise, there was a population of 641 students of the Psychology career from the 1st to the 10th cycle, of which the chosen sample was made up of 60 students from this career (100%), of which 30 were men (50%) and 30 were women (50%). To obtain the results,we usedthe non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test, where it was obtained: p value of 0.393 (P <= 0.05), with a significance levelof 0.05%. Finally, it was concluded that there are no differences in microviolence between men and women from a private university in Trujillo.
