Microwave‐Assisted CH Activation of the Thiophene Ring: A Simple Approach to Access Substituted Thienopyridines

Abstract: A practical microwave-assisted CH activation for the preparation of several phenoxythieno[3,2-b]pyridines is reported here. This new strategy is an efficient alternative to the conventional methods currently used. The optimized conditions can also be applied to a one-pot approach.
