Minimum component SRCO and VFO using a single DVCCC

Abstract: Two oscillator topologies each employing a single differential voltage complementary current conveyor (DVCCC) are presented. The first oscillator uses a single active element, five passive components, grounded capacitors, has independent control of frequency and condition of oscillation. It has a current mode output and can be extended to provide a voltage mode output. It combines all the features of the current state-of-art oscillators. The second oscillator uses a single DVCCC, four passive elements, grounde… Show more

“…Single DDCC based SRCOs (invented using genetic algorithm) in [14] and [15] (Circuits 1-5) employ floating capacitors and which are not favorable from integration point of view. Aggarwal et al later proposed a differential voltage current conveyor (DVCC) [16] based SRCO in [17], which was canonic and used two grounded capacitors, however, the circuit along with other aforementioned DDCC/DVCC/DDCCCFA based oscillators lack any inherent electronic tunability to the circuit parameters. On the other hand, a minimal SRC realization of QO with current tunable oscillation frequency is proposed in this letter.…”

“…By substituting (9) into (6), the pulse width T VCM for the VCM can be derived using (10) and the voltage-tuned parameter V TU can be de¯ned as (11). Equation (10) indicates that the proposed circuit provides a voltage-controlled solution in which the pulse width can be changed by adjusting the voltage-tuned parameter V TU .…”
