miR-652 Promotes Tumor Proliferation and Metastasis by Targeting RORA in Endometrial Cancer

Abstract: : Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic malignancy, whose incidence rate is on the rise. However, the underlying mechanisms of endometrial cancer are not very clear yet. miRNAs have been considered to be playing important roles in malignant behavior. Here, miR-652 was significantly upregulated in endometrial cancer, which correlated with shorter overall survival and earlier recurrence. Moreover, overexpression of miR-652 in endometrial cancer cells promoted proliferation, migration, and invasion an… Show more

“…Moretti et al confirmed that RORA suppressed prostate cancer cell proliferation by counteracting the effect of fatty acids . Sun et al demonstrated the tumour‐suppressor role of RORA in endometrial cancer to rescue the cancer‐promoting effect of miR‐652 . RORA was also involved in the progression of HCC, and Fu et al demonstrated that decreased RORA expression in HCC tissues indicated worse OS of HCC patients .…”

“…miR‐652‐3p has been reported as a novel disease‐related miRNA dysregulated in various pathological processes . Reportedly, miR‐652‐3p promotes the proliferation, migration, and invasion of various cancer cells . Interestingly, a recent study reports that miR‐652‐3p is essential for follicle development .…”
