Misdiagnosis of Hepatosplenic Schistosomiasis as Hepatic Tuberculosis: A Case Report

Abstract: We report a case of a 38-year-old woman who was initially misdiagnosed with hepatic tuberculosis and was managed as such before being correctly diagnosed with hepatosplenic schistosomiasis on liver biopsy. The patient had a five-year history of jaundice which over time was accompanied by polyarthritis and then abdominal pain.
