Abstract: BACKGROUND AND AIMS Haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is a rare disease characterized by macroangiopathic haemolytic anaemia, thrombocytopaenia and severe AKI, belonging to the thrombotic microangiopathies (TMAs).
