Mobile Game Design for Learning Chemical Bonds with Endless Run Approach

Abstract: This research focuses on the design of a mobile application game that uses endless run method to learn chemistry concept of chemical bonds, its design is analyzed thoroughly. Application-based learning is one of the method of learning that has been proven to be effective, however, previous studies focuses on the elements of serious gaming that neglects the fun elements in the game itself, disdaining the nature of a game. This research aims to discover the relevance of player happiness and fun level based when … Show more

“…Among the possible solutions, researchers proposed the use of educational mobile Apps and Augmented Reality educational mobile Apps. For instance, (Hafis & Supianto, 2018) proposed mobile application game which enables pupils to learn chemistry concept of chemical bonds to improve the pupils learning achievements. Another research work presented in (Cahyana, Paristiowati, Savitri, & Hasyrin, 2017) proposed the use of mobile learning application to visualize the different steps in organic chemistry reaction by enabling pupils to compose the chemical bonds between atoms using touch screens.…”

“…Our explanation, achieving learning outcomes of ECG content is not easy for students, especially it needs a sufficient time to learn and grasp the complexity of arrhythmia interpretations. Therefore, using interesting teaching strategy such as simulated mobile app for complex lectures will enhance student satisfaction which is reflected in their academic achievements [23,24].…”
