Abstract-Two years ago, the Object Management Group (OMG) adopted a new standard method named Interaction Flow Modeling Language (IFML) for web engineering domain. IFML is designed to express the content, user interaction, and control behavior of the front end of applications. There are number lacks in web engineering methods, because each of them is defined to particular specifications, one of which is the open issue of supporting the whole lifecycle in process development. In this paper, we analyze IFML models in the process development lifecycle to show capability of the method used in the process development. We then make a comparison between IFML and other methods in lifecycle phases. Finally, we add IFML to the web engineering lifecycle's map. It is anticipated that the result of this paper will be to become a guide for developers for using IFML in the development of new applications.

Abstract. Data management is continuously evolving for serving the needs of an increasingly connected society. New challenges apply not only to systems and technology, but also to the models and abstractions for capturing new application requirements. In this paper, we describe several models and abstractions which have been progressively designed to capture new forms of data-centered interactions in the last twentyfive years -a period of huge changes due to the spreading of web-based applications and the increasingly relevant role of social interactions. We initially focus on Web-based applications for individuals, then discuss applications among enterprises, then we discuss how these applications may include rankings which are computed using services or using crowds; we conclude with hints to a recent research discussing how social sources can be used for capturing emerging knowledge.

-Software technology is constantly evolving and therefore the development of applications requires adapting software components and applications in order to be aligned to new paradigms such as Pervasive Computing, Cloud Computing and Internet of Things. In particular, many desktop software components need to be migrated to mobile technologies. This migration faces many challenges due to the proliferation of different mobile platforms. Developers usually make applications tailored for each type of device expending time and effort. As a result, new programming languages are emerging to integrate the native behaviors of the different platforms targeted in development projects. In this direction, the Haxe language allows writing mobile applications that target all major mobile platforms. Novel technical frameworks for information integration and tool interoperability such as Architecture-Driven Modernization (ADM) proposed by the Object Management Group (OMG)can help to manage a huge diversity of mobile technologies. The Architecture-Driven Modernization Task Force (ADMTF) was formed to create specifications and promote industry consensus on the modernization of existing applications. In this work, we propose a migration process from C/C++ software to different mobile platforms that integrates ADM standards with Haxe. We exemplify the different steps of the process with a simple case study, the migration of "the Set of Mandelbrot" C++ application. The proposal was validated in Eclipse Modeling Framework considering that some of its tools and run-time environments are aligned with ADM standards.
