Abstract:In this paper, a model predictive controller is developed for controlling the main primary circuit dynamics of pressurized water nuclear power plants during load-change transients. The hybrid model of the plant is successfully embedded into a nonhybrid discrete time LPV form. The designed controller is able to handle the hard constraints for the state and input variables while keeping the plant stable and producing satisfactory timedomain behavior. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
