A firm's internal supply chain refers to the specific value-creating functions within the organisation, such as production, sales and distribution. Previous research has shown that these functions need to work together to achieve high levels of firm performance. However, the means to achieve this integration of internal supply chain functions have not received much attention in the current literature. In this paper, we review the published literature on internal supply chain integration and report on empirical research, which we conducted to test various antecedents of integration. Results from our survey indicate that line managers are able to improve functional integration by fostering a positive attitude towards other departments. Integration appears also to be enhanced by making departments jointly accountable for achieving company goals.

Multirole of pesantren demand are very complex and dynamic in human development and agriculture development. Pesantrens who have noble values, the spiritual capital as well as agricultural resources are expected to drive the development of agriculture. However, the problem complexity that exist bring pesantren to changes overall and continuously to achieve its goals. This study aims to identify the key elements of the development of the institutional structure of agricultural resource management at pesantren, and also strategy formulation as well as institutional model implementation. Analysis of the institutional structure used Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), and prioritizing implementation models strategies used Exponential Comparative Method (ECM). Financing institutions identified as key elements of institutional structures at pesantren has agricultural resources. Pesantren as social institutions have the potential of agricultural resources managed by the cooperative venture or other productive enterprises. The agency is highly dependent on the financial institutions supporting with a particular scheme in order to promote the sustainability of educational activities and business management that grew up in pesantren. Institutional management of agricultural resources is reinforced by economic institutional community based on faith and good deeds that create a balance of material and spiritual well as the interests of the individual and society. Priority implementation strategy including the competency development of HR pesantren, pesantren leadership cadre and the development of vision-mission in accordance with the paradigm of sustainable development.

Prioritizing Critical Success Factors for Six Sigma Implementation Using Interpretive Structural Modeling

The purpose of this paper is to provide a practical approach for prioritizing the most practiced Critical Success Factors (CSFs) for six sigma implementation. The most commonly accepted CSFs for six sigma were identified from the literature. Then, the interactions among twelve CSFs have been studied using one of the mathematical/soft-operational research tools, that is, the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The developed model was illustrated using a case study selected from an automotive service industry. The findings implied that almost all of the CSFs are classified as linkage variables. The developed model provides a road map that assists practitioners to understand the process through which six sigma is practiced in a certain enterprise. Although the studied case was selected from the automotive service industry, the outcome of the proposed ISM model supported the results of the previous empirical studies in a sense that all factors for six sigma implementation were in fact critical (i.e. none of them was located within the autonomous category).
