Modelling parameters of traffic flows in a traffic simulation model with the priority of public transport

Abstract: The article defines the importance of simulation modeling of traffic flows for the development of both individual territories and the entire city. The object of the study is a transport artery connecting two major districts of the city of Moscow: Strogino and Shchukino. As part of the work, the key quantitative and qualitative parameters of the object are highlighted, allowing to determine the input parameters for the simulation model of the real object in order to implement a scenario of reducing the number o… Show more

“…Modern researchers note that there are conflicts when flows cross each other or merge. To obtain such conflicts, the researchers study and structure the problematic domain to identify all quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the object [2,8]. The research resulted in a detailed description of the area under study, which complies with the concept of modern scientific papers in this domain.…”

“…This problem is relevant for both metropolis and small regional cities. Russian and foreign scientists note that developing mathematical models of interaction between all traffic participants and elements of transport infrastructure will give an answer to all questions of sustainable development [2,3,4].…”

“…A list of key objects and processes specific to beekeeping was required to create a formal model. In studies in which one of the tasks was the formalization of the subject area, methods of structural analysis and step-by-step specification of the research object were used [11,12] with the subsequent application of the information modeling method to the obtained results [13].…”

“…In order to obtain a list of elements related to the processes of the object of study and affecting its state, the structuring method was used. Methodologies for using this method are presented in detail by Logachev [6][7][8], Krasnikov [9,10] and Shakhnov [11]. The results obtained are necessary to create rules for the interaction between these elements, which form the basis of a parametric and simulation model of the study object.…”
