Reading skills is skill that can explore the vast world of knowledge and information. One method to develop students' reading comprehension that can be taken is to use media-based learning online application. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the Quizizz application in teaching English language to students. The writer employed a quasi-experimental design, and the sample was taken from two classes, X IPA2 and X IPA 4. The researcher reported the students' pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental and control classes in this section. The researcher used the ANCOVA component of the SPSS 25 software to analyze the data. The findings show that the significant value of the class is 0.646 which is higher than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted, and the alternative hypothesis is rejected based on the result above. It means that students who are taught by Quizziz Application doesn’t have better achievement than students who are taught using Textbook. The reseason of not effective is because their signal is in the bad condition, some of them can not use Quizziz properly, and they said that using Quizziz make the study more complex and complicated, maybe there are some reasons why Teaching reading comprehension using Quizziz doesn’t effective.

Background The relationship between the impact of anti-involution training on critical thinking and its propensity indicators among young healthcare professionals in dental outpatient clinics remains to be determined. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate these associations and develop an interpretable machine learning (ML) model to assess their predictive value in enhancing critical thinking through anti-involution training. Methods A cross-sectional survey encompassing 114 participants was conducted. Spearman correlation analysis was utilized to evaluate the association between propensity indicators and the enhancement of critical thinking through anti-involution training. Subsequently, the data underwent normalization utilizing the “MinMaxScaler” technique, while balancing was achieved by applying the synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE). Following this, predictors were identified using the most minor absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression. Next, diverse machine learning algorithms constructed an individual prediction model to enhance critical thinking through anti-involution training. The prediction model's performance was assessed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and decision curve analysis (DCA). The Shapley additive interpretation (SHAP) method was utilized to interpret the ML model. Results Truth-seeking, analytical thinking, and inquisitiveness were identified as predictive factors for enhancing critical thinking. A Random Forest algorithm-based model incorporating these variables yielded favorable results: AUC = 0.889 (95% CI: 0.839–0.937), accuracy = 0.850, sensitivity = 0.855, specificity = 0.933. Conclusion The inclinations toward truth-seeking, analytical thinking, and inquisitiveness significantly correlate with the effectiveness of anti-involution training in enhancing critical thinking. Our simplified ML-based predictive model allows for preliminary forecasting, enabling early intervention and guidance for learners facing difficulties in improving critical thinking.

This research aims to find out what 21st-century learning competencies are. 21st-century learning competencies are oriented toward thinking literacy, work skills, life skills, and the ability to master tools for work. This research uses a qualitative approach, describing and elaborating on 21st-century educational competencies. The data collection technique used in this research is library research. The research results show that implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum (KMB) in 21st-century learning is one solution to improve school learning quality. Implementing KMB allows teachers to facilitate a more interactive, fun, and practical student learning process. Apart from that, KMB can also help students to learn independently, collaborate with others, and develop critical and creative thinking skills. However, to implement KMB well, teachers must pay attention to several things, such as providing varied and exciting learning resources, a comfortable and conducive learning space, and a transparent and fair evaluation system.
