Modification of the Catalytic System for the Industrial Chlorine Processing of Ethylene in 1,2-Dichloroethane

Abstract: A new mechanism for the reaction of direct (additive) chlorination of ethylene with chlorine from the formation of 1,2-dichloroethane in the presence of FeCl 3 catalyst promoted by NaCl has been proposed. It was found that the rate depends on the active phase concentration of the catalyst and the promoter, as well as the formation of the Na[Fe(C 2 H 4 Cl) 4 ] complex, which is a surface intermediate of the reaction. The heterogeneous-homogeneous mechanism of the process, according to which the reaction begins … Show more

“…(2 місяці). Як показали результати досліджень, з початку випробовувань концентрація йонів натрію у реакторі прямого хлорування зростала при подачі модифікатора на реактори прямого хлорування до проектних значень та зменшувалась після припинення його дозування, як це спостерігалось під час короткотривалого (3 тижні) його використання [19].…”

“…Therefore, much attention has been focused on the application of different catalysts on the base of transition metal for the epoxidation process. [26][27][28][29][30][31] Among them, molybdenum compounds show much promise due to high catalytic activity. [32][33][34][35] In particular, molybdenum boride catalysts are quite effective in the epoxidation reactions of olefins with tert-butyl hydroperoxide.…”
