Modified bowtie antenna for GPR applications

Abstract: This paper presents a novel antenna for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) applications. It consists of two crossed bowtie antennas loaded with an annular ring. Numerical and experimental results are reported demonstrating that the proposed antenna exhibits both a broadband impedance bandwidth and very good radiation properties.
