“…It comes to our notice that the acid sites immobilized solid catalysts, which have been employed in solid acid catalysts, are extensively used in many organic catalytic reactions, such as esterification, isomerization of n -alkanes, epoxidation, and acylation. From this point of view, SO 4 2‑ /Fe 2 O 3 solid superacid catalysts are a kind of environmentally friendly industry catalysts to substitute current liquid acids . Many studies have further shown that the acid intensity of catalyst SO 4 2‑ /Fe 2 O 3 ( H 0 = −13.0) can be improved by doping transition metal ions and surface chelate modification. In our previous work, the S modified ZnFe 2 O 4 catalyst has been successfully introduced to photo-Fenton processes, which exhibited a high reactivity for decomposition of H 2 O 2 . Compared with the Zn doped, zirconium ions have stronger abilities in immobilizing sulfur species, which could change surface physical and chemical properties of the catalysts and promote electron transfer from the Fe species to H 2 O 2 molecules.…”

“…In recent years, materials doped with rare earth elements (such as Ce, La or Y) and materials activated by H 2 SO 4 have become two research focuses [12][13][14][15][16]. Zhang et al [17] prepared the Ce-doped silicas (Ce x Si 1−x O 2−ı−700 ) with x = 0.06-0.08 which have the smaller pore size, larger specific surface area, many Lewis acid sites and a better hydrophilic property.…”
