“…With increased interest in attribution of heavy precipitation events under a changing climate, the spatiotemporal variability of precipitation extremes, for example, over western America (Bracken et al, 2015), eastern U.S. (Steinschneider & Lall, 2016), central North Carolina (Fuhrmann & Konrad, 2013), the entire Canadian landmass (Tan, Gan, & Chen, 2018), Southern Sweden (Gustafsson, Rayner, & Chen, 2010), South China (Chu et al, 2017;Huang, He, et al, 2018), and Sichuan in China (Bin & Xu, 2016), have been linked to changes in atmospheric moisture transport patterns. Those studies extracted plenty of moisture trajectories contributing to extreme precipitation events and classified them to several patterns of moisture transport pathways.…”
