“…1(b), the electro-oxidation current density on C-PPY-Co(OH) 2 is much higher than that on Ni/C. 13 Although the catalytic activity of C-PPY-Co(OH) 2 to HB is lower than that of Pt/C, the onset potential on C-PPY-Co(OH) 2 is close to the theoretical potential, indicating that C-PPY-Co(OH) 2 has the ability to catalyze the direct electro-oxidation of HB.…”

“…Recently, metal–nitrogen-doped carbon (M–N–C) catalysts have emerged as a promising family of electrocatalysts for the ORR, reducing the cost of electrode materials. Among the various reported M–N–C catalysts, iron–nitrogen-doped carbon (Fe–N–C) materials have drawn significant attention due to their relatively high ORR performance. , The typical synthesis method of Fe–N–C is based on the pyrolysis of modified zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs). During the calcination process, metallic species such as Fe and Fe 3 C are often formed together with the presence of Fe–N x moieties that are deemed to be active sites for the ORR. Metal–N active sites formed between the metal nanoparticles and the surrounding N atoms within carbon shells can also play a crucial role in the alkaline ORR. For example, Shi et al synthesized graphene-encapsulated Co nanocrystals and spatially isolated single Co atoms for the highly efficient ORR . Wang et al developed an N-doped porous carbon nanocage with the coexistence of atomically dispersed Co–N 4 sites and small Co nanoparticles, which showed excellent ORR activity and outstanding stability in alkaline media .…”

“…[3] New technologies are eco-friendly, needing renewable energy sources like sun, wind, water etc., and slightly cheaper than fossil sources. [4] Recently, a variety of batteries, [5] organic solar cells, [6] and fuel cells [7][8][9] have been investigated. Fuel cells may be the best way to formation of electrical energy by using chemical energy in cells.…”
