“…P. xanthomarine has been reported as a novel bacteria isolated from marine ascidian [ 34 ] and from arsenic contaminated soil [ 35 ]. P. stutzeri and P. xanthomarine has the highest biodegrading ability to degrade crude petroleum oil [ 36 ]. P. indoloxydans is a lindane (chlorinated pesticide) degrading bacteria isolated from soils of lindane manufacturing industrial site [ 37 ].…”

“…Meanwhile, the best biodegradation of different polyaromatics was appeared in microcosms containing biosurfactants, I 1 , I 4 and bacterial consortium of four bacterial isolates separately. It is necessary to mention that, the increased degradation percentage of any compound may be attributed either to a real increase due to the formation of additional amounts of this polyaromatic hydrocarbon (this is only accepted in the case of lower polyaromatics) or the other probability is the enhanced consumption of other compounds leading to a relative accumulation of such polyaromatic hydrocarbon [2,29]. Tables 3, 4 and 5 the bacterial strains (I 1 and I 4 ) and bacterium consortium of four bacterial isolates were selected for further studies, giving the best surface properties and biodegradation percentage.…”

“…Moreover, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are persistent in the environment and can cause long-term adverse effects. The majority of PAHs have strong toxicity, carcinogenicity, teratogenicity and mutagenicity [2,3].…”

“…This bacterium is aerobic, rod-shaped, and motile. Isolated from aquatic animals ( 1 ), plants ( 2 , 3 ), rhizosphere ( 4 ), polluted soils ( 5 , 6 ), oil-contaminated water ( 7 ), mine soil ( 8 ), or cold desert soil ( 9 ), it is able to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons ( 5 , 7 ) and insecticides ( 6 ) and oxidize arsenic ( 8 ). It also displays characteristics of plant growth–promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), such as phosphate solubilization, indole-3-acetic acid production, siderophores production, and endophytism ( 2 4 , 6 ).…”
