Monitoring the quality consistency of Fufang Danshen Pills using micellar electrokinetic chromatography fingerprint coupled with prediction of antioxidant activity and chemometrics

Abstract: A fast micellar electrokinetic chromatography fingerprint method combined with quantification was developed and validated to evaluate the quality of Fufang Danshen Pills, a traditional Chinese Medicine, which has been used in the treatment of cardiovascular system diseases, in which the tetrahedron optimization method was first used to optimize the background electrolyte solution. Subsequently, the index of the fingerprint information amount of I was performed as an excellent objective indictor to investigate … Show more

“…The values of IC 50 from DPPH, LPI and SRS assays were used as an excellent measurement indicator to compare the antioxidant activities of SSM and NSSM. When the IC 50 was lower, the antioxidant activity was better (Ji, Sun, Sun, & Zhang, ). The Student t ‐test was used to determine whether the values of IC 50 of SSM and NSSM differed from one another.…”

“…Therefore, it is necessary to establish a multi-criteria quality evaluation system. Chemical fingerprint analysis method was proposed and accepted for the identification of authenticity, differentiation of origin, and evaluation of quality of herbal medicines and related products, which could display the holistic chemical profile obtained by various analytical techniques [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 ]. Recently, chemometrics have attracted increasing attention with the development of data mining methodologies, which could simplify complex data and find hidden information.…”

“…First, sample and reference fingerprint vectors are respectively converted into Ts=false(x1y1,x2y2,xnynfalse) and Tr=false(y1y1,y2y2,ynynfalse)=false(1,1,11false), the cosine of the two vectors after the conversion is denoted as the qualitative ratio similarity (SF), as calculated by Eq. . This conversion makes all the peaks in the same range.…”
