Abstract: Fibrous dysplasia represents a dysplastic disorder of bone characterized by solitary or multifocal polyostotic intramedullary lesions composed of proliferations of fibroblast-like spindle cells with a characteristic whorled pattern in which trabeculae of immature woven bone.
